Interested with the Youthology Eye Wrinkle Serum? Read the Complaints!

While doing my research for this blog, I stumbled on an advertisement that led me to a website about an anti aging product brand which gave me a bit of surprise. It did so not only because of its incredible claims but also because of what I learned about its customer feedback.

Youthology is a skin care line that it has been a very controversial brand ever since it first came out about 3 years ago. This is probably because of its Wrinkle Removing Eye Serum which is claiming that it can effect changes in just 90 seconds after application. I believe they even went on “As Seen on TV” and made these claim to millions of viewers. It is said to contain Active Rejuvatin TM which, they say, can mimic the skin tightening action that surgical facelifts do to the skin.

However, upon further search, it did not take long till I stumbled on message threads that talk about this product and guess what— most of them were talking about the product in a very negative light (to say the least).

As can be expected, a lot of people were lured into buying this product because of its amazing claims. Who could refuse the possibility of erasing those nasty wrinkle lines around the eyes in just 90 seconds, right?

Unfortunately, most feedback that I see indicates that it may be a bad idea to even try this product out. While its price is not that expensive (currently at $37), some may be inclined to give it a whirl due to its relatively cheap price and just return the product when they find it unsuitable. Feedbacks from forums, however, are revealing that not only are these product potentially ineffective, their money back guarantee and customer service may also entail a lot of headaches.

Realself.com forum member Lalo has this to say about this product:

“I’ve tried this product a couple months, but after no seen any resul I tried to stop receibing and I told them to stop sending me product, but they kep sending and charging my credit card.”

They also seem to be making a lot of shady stuff with their pricing schemes that may contain hidden charges. Check out the following entry from a customer (lifted from Realself.com):

“I just received my package of Youthology 90-Second Eye Serum Kit. It’s going back immediately, unopened because I’m hopping mad. They advertised and got me on a $40 introductory, by the time I’d finished with the phone sales person, my cr.cd was charged $57.40. When it arrived, there was an invoice stating subtotal $79.98, S/H $9.99, sales tax $7.42 with Amount Due $97.39!!! So apparently I still owe them $40. Guess I was a little confused on their “introductory, only $39.99″ ad. Plus, they need you on their “membership, auto ship,” so I called to cancel and their phone recorded announcement said their lines are temporarily down. If they can’t be trusted to honor their advertised price or terms, how can I expect the product to work? It’s going back and I’ll make a complaint to whatever agency governs here, tho there may not be any.”

Let me be clear that I have not tried this product (nor am I planning to). I just want to point out that there is another side to all those reviews that you see online that may be hailing this product as the holy grail of eye wrinkles. I also am a bit suspicious about this product because of its incredible claims. Sometimes when it is too good to be true, it usually is.

Be careful when buying into any, as in any, anti aging products you see out there. Do your due diligence first as it may save you some inconveniences in the future.
